Reflecting on 2024 and Gearing Up for an Exciting New Year at Stock and Steeds

As the year draws to a close, it’s a time for reflection and anticipation. At Stock and Steeds, we’re wrapping up 2024 by finalizing our taxes, reviewing the ranch's expenses and profits, and reflecting on all the milestones we’ve achieved.

This year, we reached an exciting record—our largest calf crop ever! From the first birth in February to the final arrival in July, we welcomed seven beautiful new calves to the farm. It was a thrilling yet challenging experience, but one that left us with a deep sense of accomplishment.

In addition to our growing herd, we also took a big step in expanding our business. We officially launched our direct-to-consumer beef sales with the creation of our online store. Reaching out to our loyal customers and introducing this new aspect of our business was no easy feat. Both April and I had to step far out of our comfort zones, ask tough questions, and dedicate countless hours alongside our everyday ranch responsibilities. But the results have been more than worth it.

Now, as we prepare for the new year, we're excited to brainstorm what’s next for Stock and Steeds. Stay tuned because we can’t wait to share more in future blog posts!
